I'm far from naive.
In my opinion 40 year old men don't just walk up to someone and stab them, there has to be a reason behind it.
I agree that teenagers will sometimes just randomly stab other youths who stray off their " turf " but older guys normally have a motive.

Like you, I have no idea the story on this one twoleftfeet, but if you think nobody gets knifed / murdered for nothing you are incredibly naive
The street gang culture is kill first, find out who it is later.
Research David Gomoh, Jodie Chesney, Corey Junior, Abdul Mayanja amongst tens of others.
Every chance these kids will be on that list once this case makes it to court and the story comes out
In London you can quite literally be killed simply for being in public on the ‘wrong’ street. Maybe that’s becoming the case in the surrounding areas

I see the police have named them now, both Romford boys.
I wonder what the story is behind it?
The usual god fearing, loved their mums type of boys but no one gets knifed to death for nothing or maybe they do?

Victoria is where my old man first bought me a pint - not my first pint, but basically a signal that I didn't have to hide my drinking from him.
12p for a pint of delicious Gray's bitter, when the undrinkable Double Diamond was selling for 16p. Their mild was good, too, at 11p.
Unfortunately, Gray's shut down a few weeks later.

Stopped going to Brentwood when the Castle closed, which was an excellent rock pub with loads of pool tables.
All became a bit poncy and up its arse thanks to places like sugar hut, that are generally full of the sort of people I have no time for, but maybe that was just me getting older.
Popped there about 5 years ago to meet some people in slug and there wasn't a person in there who wasn't orange and that included the blokes.

JAC, IIRC we hada chat a while back about us both living in Shenfield, son.
I live at the top of hutton road, behind the Kip McGrath centre.
I like it in there, yes it's a bit of a shithole but it's a proper oldskool pub.

Block,I live in Shenfield too,how can you say Chequers is ok,its a dump even if it is West Ham!
I prefer Lot or The Rose,HWB is still full of wannabe gangsters,its like a gay night in there most nights...
The Vault is ok, apparently its getting a roof terrace, should be interesting.

Eagle and Child’s last two Landlords have been very West Ham. Sadly it is now closed, bulldozed and about to become a block of flats.

A mate of mine used to live above Hollands in Shenfield many moons ago, used to go in there for a few on a Friday night but it was full of wannabee Krays so used to walk down to the Eagle & Child, was a nice boozer back then and the landlord was West Ham.

I live in Shenfield now, just on the edge of Brentwood. There's fuck all here so you don't get too many of them types. Absolutely love it here.

Gardeners pub in the 80's
Many good afternoons in that pub.
Proper pub she done a grand job.
The only really so called hard pub back then was the Essex Arms down at the station.

Yes mate - avoid most of it. Used to like the Vic, but I don’t really drink anymore, and that seems to be full of hipster types nowadays, who seem to have moved in en masse post lockdown, fed up with the London life. Thing is, a lot of these things they are trying to escape just move with them.

Simon, as you know mate I grew up there, went to school with mark wright.
When the first series aired, there was all sorts of people coming to luxe and nu bar, causing all sorts of aggro. Had aggro myself.
You still live there? Changed a hell of a lot hasn't it?(I haven't been back for about 2 years)
